OUR TEAM

Crosby Cook, P.Eng, B.Sc.

President & CEO

Crosby is a graduate engineer from the University of Calgary (2006) and has since worked as a consulting engineer for a variety of oil and gas companies providing services that have ranged from drilling, completions, operations and production, to project economics and corporate evaluations.

Crosby has been involved with a wide variety of oil and gas exploration and development projects throughout the WCSB. He also gained extensive experience in Nova Scotia drilling conventional targets and salt cavern gas storage wells.

Crosby is founding member of CG Engineering Ltd., a member of the Association of Professional Engineers, Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA), and the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE).

Cory Bachmeier, P.Eng, B.E.

Senior Operations Engineer

Cory is a graduate Mechanical Engineer from the University of Saskatchewan.  He started his career with Encana, where he worked through their new graduate program — spending time in production, reservoir, and operations engineering. 

Cory has experience with Northern operations as well as capital budgets.  He has extensive experience in drilling engineering and completions engineering.

Cory has been involved with drilling operations all over Alberta and BC, with in-depth experience in all facets of well planning and execution.  In addition to drilling, Cory has been involved with re-completion and abandonment operations throughout Alberta and BC.

While working with CG Engineering Cory has consulted to several E&P companies, handling all types of projects including: drilling, completions, facilities, tie-in, safety and regulatory.  Cory has also provided engineering and supervision support for all types of projects.  

Cory is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers, Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) and the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE).

Jeremy Young, C.E.T.

Drilling and Completions

Jeremy is a graduate of NAIT Polytechnic and holds a diploma in Petroleum Engineering Technology. He started his career in 1999 with Encana focusing primarily drilling operations in BC and Alberta.

Jeremy has over 10 years of experience as a Drilling Superintendent overseeing various drilling programs. Jeremy has in depth experience in horizontal, multi-lateral, and underbalanced well applications. He oversaw the drilling of more than 1000 shallow gas wells in Southern Alberta.

Jeremy has experience with well completions, well abandonments, and downhole workovers. He has held various positions in his career including production and reservoir engineering roles.

Jeremy has over 2 years of experience in the field as a Field Drilling Coordinator and Directional Services Consultant.
